Sri Aurobindo School of Integral Education, Chandigarh celebrated its silver Jubilee year by organizing the annual function ‘Prevoyance – the Mark of a Leader’. The theme of the programme was leadership, which highlighted the various changes brought about in society by visionary leaders. It also depicted Sri Aurobindo’s life and achievements. The event was presided over by the renowned architect Sh. S.D. Sharma. The grand show commenced with lighting of the lamp by the chief guest and invoking the blessings of God through chanting of shlokas.

This was followed by a scintillating performance by the students of kindergarten. Bumble Bee Dance, Fairy Dance and Ballerina Dance by tiny tots captured the hearts of the audience. The show was an amalgam of synchronized dance performances, music and drama. The musical tale ‘Bal Leela – Raas Leela by the students of class V was a treat for the eyes. Students of class VII enacted the classic drama ‘Mid Summer Night’s Dream’ by Shakespeare which left everyone spellbound. The life journey of Sri Aurobindo and his achievements were brought alive by the students of class VIII. A heartwarming tribute was paid to the great scientist and former President of India, Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam.

The annual report focusing on the vision and achievements was presented by the Principal, Mrs. Garima S Bhardwaj. She shared developmental plans and strategies to be implemented next year. She said this year had been very encouraging and fruitful and told the students that there is a leader in each one of them. The performances were followed by the felicitation ceremony wherein the Chairman of the school, Mr. Arvind Mehan honoured two senior teachers Mrs. Usha Chadha and Mrs. Amita Gaur who made their remarkable contribution to the school and have been serving as a strong pillar in the foundation of the school for the last twenty five years. Two members of helping staff were also felicitated for their significant contribution since the inception of the school. The Chief Guest, Sh. S. D. Sharma conveyed his best wishes to all on silver jubilee of school and appreciated the wonderful performances.

The programme culminated with the vote of thanks by the chairman and a melodious gratitude song by the students of class X. The celebration ended on a joyful note with parents appreciating the performances by the students.
